About the Francis Hotel
It is its situation in the beautiful city of Bath that makes the Francis Hotel such a delight to visit. The hotel is part of the typical picturesque Georgian stone and architecture that sweeps through Bath and it is this that helps to consolidate the city’s place as one of the country’s most popular places to visit each year.
Francis Hotel Location and Surroundings
The Francis Hotel is set on the south side of Queen Square in the centre of Bath and dates back as far as 1728 to a time when it was six distinct houses. Located in one of the UK’s oldest cities it is perhaps unsurprising that the venue is so old; however it is worth noting that while there is traditional furnishing and design to complement, there are modern facilities for business users in the meeting rooms and indeed in other areas of the hotel as well.
There is so much that is of interest in Bath; there is the Abbey, the Cathedral, the Roman Baths and the Royal Crescent. Visitors can enjoy some time relaxing in Victoria Park or wander around the cobbled streets to perhaps drop in at some of the shops, a restaurant or a cafe. And so it is against this backdrop that guests are welcomed to the central Francis Hotel.
Bedrooms, Dining and Meetings at the Francis Hotel
The three-star Francis Hotel contains almost 100 guest bedrooms, each of which is en suite. The vast majority of the rooms are non smoking and feature a number of amenities in keeping with its three-star status. The decor is distinctively traditional, while room service is available from 10am through until 10pm.
The luxury Bath hotel features a bar and a restaurant, both of whose decor is traditional, in keeping with the rest of the venue. The restaurant serves British dishes in the main as well as some foods from further afield and is open for breakfast and evening meals. The bar is open throughout the day to offer guests a chance to relax and unwind over a drink.
There are two meeting and conference facilities at the Francis Hotel, Bath, which feature a modern and comfortable environment. The larger of the rooms can seat a maximum of 90 guests in a theatre layout, while the rooms are also suitable for u-shape, banquet, classroom and boardroom settings.
